Two columns turn to nonsense
Screening software reads a page left to right, one line at a time. In a two-column design your side panel gets spliced through your job history, and what comes out is not a sentence anybody can read.
Free ATS resume builder · no card
Most Indian companies screen resumes with software before a recruiter opens one. JobFolio builds ATS-friendly resumes that software reads cleanly — and tells you free what your current resume is losing. No card, no watermark.
Resume, marriage biodata, portfolio page, experience letters and cards — all in one account.
The problem
Screening software reads a page left to right, one line at a time. In a two-column design your side panel gets spliced through your job history, and what comes out is not a sentence anybody can read.
Dates put inside a table or a text box often never come through. Software that cannot find your dates cannot work out how many years you have — so it assumes none. That alone sinks an experienced candidate.
Five stars beside "Advanced Excel" is an image, and an image has no words in it. If your skills live inside a graphic, the software finds none of them — and neither does the keyword filter on Naukri.
Four steps
Every design is laid out the way screening software reads best. Switch between them later and not a word is lost.
Type it in with a live preview beside you, or upload your existing resume as a PDF or Word file and we will read the details out for you.
No watermark on any plan, at the size a printer and an upload form both expect.
Run it back through the free score checker and see exactly what a screening system takes out of it.
Every template holds the same content, so choosing one is about how it looks — never about starting again. Freshers, MBA graduates, sales, HR, teachers: the same designs work, because what makes a resume readable does not change by job.

Yes, to build and to check. Writing a resume, previewing it and running the ATS score cost nothing and need no card. The free plan covers two saved documents and three PDF downloads a month, and your PDF carries no watermark. Pro is ₹199 a month if you want unlimited downloads and the premium designs.
An applicant tracking system — the software a company uses to collect and sort applications. It reads your resume, pulls out your name, contact details, jobs and skills, and files them. Anything it cannot read simply is not there when a recruiter searches. That is why layout matters as much as what you have written.
The large ones do — IT services, banks, consultancies and most MNCs screen through software before a person opens anything. Naukri and LinkedIn both work the same way: a recruiter searches keywords, and you appear only if the words are in your resume as text. A small firm hiring twenty people may well read every CV by hand — but you rarely know which kind you are applying to, so it is worth being readable to both.
Yes, and freshers gain the most. With no work history the software has less to find, so the parts you do have — your degree, your projects, your internships, your skills — have to come through cleanly. Leave the Experience section empty and fill in Projects and Education instead; nothing empty is ever printed.
Yes. Upload a PDF or a Word file and we read the details out of it — your name, contact, jobs, education and skills — then show you everything we found so you can correct it before anything is saved. It takes about a minute against twenty spent retyping. Free on every plan.
No tool can promise that, and anyone who does is selling something. A screen is software plus a person plus a shortlist. What we can do is make sure the software reads every word you wrote instead of half of them. Run the score checker on your current resume and on one built here, and compare the two numbers.
A file you upload is read for its text and then discarded — we never write it to disk. What we keep is what you type into the editor, in your own account, which you can export or delete from your settings at any time. We do not sell data and we do not share your documents with recruiters.
For most private-sector roles in India, no. It takes space you could use for content, and some screening software stumbles on it. Our Minimal ATS template leaves it out entirely. A marriage biodata is the opposite case — there the photo belongs at the top.
The score is free and needs no account. Fix what it finds, or start clean on a template that never had the problem.
One account, one resume, and everything else reads from it.
