Is the ATS score checker really free?

What is an ATS, and why does my score matter?
An applicant tracking system is the software a company uses to collect applications. It reads your resume and files away your name, contact details, jobs and skills. The score measures how much of your resume it can actually read. Anything the software misses is invisible to the recruiter searching on the other side.
Do Indian companies really screen this way?
Large employers do — IT services firms, banks, consultancies and most MNCs. Naukri and LinkedIn behave the same way when a recruiter searches by keyword: you turn up only if the words are in your resume as text. A twenty-person company may read every CV by hand, but you rarely know which kind you are applying to.
What is a good score?
Above 80 means your resume comes through cleanly. Between 60 and 80 it is readable but losing detail. Below 60, parts of your resume are being dropped before anyone sees them — usually because of a two-column layout, a table, or contact details sitting in the header of the page.
Which files can I upload?
PDF and Word (.docx), up to 5MB — the two formats an employer normally accepts. A scanned resume or a photo saved as a PDF has no text in it, so nothing can be read from it; you will get a clear message rather than a wrong score.
Do you keep my resume?
No. The file is read for its text, scored, and discarded — it is never written to disk. What we save is the result: the score, the breakdown and the fixes.
I am a fresher. Will my score be low because I have no experience?
No. The checks are about readability, not seniority — contact details, clear section headings, length, bullet points, strong verbs and numbers. A fresher resume with projects and internships written plainly scores as well as anyone else's.
My score is low. What do I do?
Read the fixes in order — they are sorted by how many points each one is worth. If the layout itself is the problem, build the same content on one of our templates and score it again; you can bring your details across without retyping them.
