Marriage biodata maker

Make a shaadi biodata that looks like it was set by a printer, not typed into Word at midnight. Fill in the details families actually ask for, pick a format, and download an A4 PDF ready to print or forward.

Also known as a shaadi biodata format, marriage biodata format, or शादी बायोडाटा — the same document, whatever your family calls it.

What goes into a biodata

Every field is optional. Leave one blank and it simply does not appear — no empty rows.

Four formats

All four read the same details, so you can switch between them at any point without retyping anything.

Already have a biodata or resume?

Upload it and we will read the details out — name, contact, jobs, education, skills — and show you what we found before anything is saved. It takes about a minute, against twenty spent retyping.

PDF or Word, up to 5MB. Free on every plan. The file is read and discarded.

Already made a resume here?

Import brings across your name, photo, education, occupation and contact details in one click. Anything you have already typed into the biodata is left exactly as it is.

Common questions

What is a marriage biodata?

A one or two page summary a family shares when looking for a match: name, date and place of birth, height, education, occupation, family details and contact. It is the shaadi equivalent of a resume, and it gets read the same way — quickly, and often forwarded on.

Is the biodata maker free?

Yes. Building and previewing is free, and the free plan covers three PDF downloads a month across all your documents. Two of the four designs are free; the other two come with Pro.

Do I have to fill in caste, gotra or manglik?

No. Every field is optional and an empty one is simply left off the page — no blank rows, no dashes. Fill in what your family shares and leave the rest.

Can I add an Om or Ganesh symbol at the top?

Yes, and it is off by default. The invocation is a setting in the customise panel with several options including none, because the format is used across religions.

Can I reuse what is already on my resume?

Yes. If you have built a resume on JobFolio, "Import from resume" brings across your name, photo, education, occupation and contact details. Anything you have already typed into the biodata is left alone.

What size does it print at?

A4, with the photo on the first page. The PDF is rendered from the same engine that draws your on-screen preview, so what you see is what prints.
