Common questions

What size is an ID card?

CR80 — 54 × 85.6mm portrait, the same rectangle as a debit card. That is what every badge holder and lanyard sleeve is cut for.

Can I put a photo on it?

Yes, and you should — a photo is most of what an ID card is for. Upload it in the editor; photo and logo uploads are part of Pro.

What goes on the back?

Usually the terms of return, an emergency contact and a blood group. All three are fields here, and you can leave the back blank.

Can I print a batch?

Switch the layout to "A4 sheet" for several to a page with cut guides. For one card at a time, the single layout gives you a PDF at exactly card size.

Does this verify anyone?

No. It lays out a card — it is not an identity check, and it proves nothing on its own. Issue these for people who actually work or study with you.

Will there be a watermark on the card?

No. Nothing you download carries a watermark or our branding, on either plan.

What photo works best?

A head-and-shoulders photo on a plain background, taken in daylight. A phone photo is fine — a cropped group photo is not, because the face ends up too small to recognise on a card this size.

Is my team's data safe here?

The details you type stay in your own account. We do not sell data and we do not share it, and you can delete any card or the whole account from your settings.
